Who We Are

At Turning Point, our mission is to lead people to experience a turning point to new life by the fullness of New Birth through repentance, water baptism in Jesus' name, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:38. We are committed to proclaiming the eternal hope found in Christ, providing a place where sins are forgiven, hearts are washed, lives are changed, and joy is restored.

As a Spirit-filled and Spirit-led body of believers, we strive to live spiritually free by: pursuing wholeness, conducting ourselves in holiness and righteousness, understanding our spiritual giftings, extending safety and forgiveness to the broken, and discipling others into the everlasting joy found in Jesus Christ.

Our Beliefs

The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. (See II Timothy 3:15-17)

There is one God, who has revealed Himself as Father; through His Son, in redemption; and as the Holy Spirit, by emanation. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man. (See Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16)

Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (See Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9)

The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel (II Thessalonians 1:8; I Peter 4:17) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance (resurrection). (See I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4)

As Christians, we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life, both inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today. (See Mark 12:28-31; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Corinthians 12:8-10)

Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end there will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death. (See I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15)

The basic fundamental doctrine of this organization shall be the standard of full salvation, which is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance (Acts 2:38).

Godly living should characterize the life of every child of the Lord, and we should live according to the pattern and example given in the Word of God. “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.” (Titus 2:11-12) “For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously.” (I Peter 2:21-23)

"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." (Hebrews 12:14)

"But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot." (I Peter 1:15-19)

Our Vision

Experience a turning point to new life

Our Core Values form the DNA of who we are: A Spirit-filled, truth grounded, joyful and overflowing people. We are committed to the Apostolic message of salvation, living in wholeness and righteousness, living in Christ’s power, and offering help, hope, and healing. We envision a church where people of every age, race, and background can experience a turning point to new life, and be equipped to walk in truth, grow in spiritual maturity, authority, and life-long transformation.

This vision compels us to live out our faith daily, radiating love, compassion, and joy, not only within the walls of our church, but throughout our city, region, and world. This is more than a vision, it’s our assignment: to live and proclaim truth, reach the lost, restore the broken, raise up leaders, and release Spirit-empowered believers to do the work of God’s Kingdom in this earth. We are Turning Point Pentecostals where every story can be rewritten by Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith!

Core Values

We believe every person must be born again through repentance, water baptism in Jesus' Name, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost (John 3:5; Acts 2:38). This is not optional, it's transformational. "You must be born again." - John 3:7

We live, preach, and lead with heaven in mind. Our hope is not in this world, but in the promise of eternal life with Jesus (Titus 1:2; Colossians 1:5). "Looking for that blessed hope..." - Titus 2:13

We believe water baptism by immersion in the Name of Jesus Christ is essential for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16). His Name is the only saving Name. "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins..." - Acts 2:38

We walk daily in love, righteousness, holiness, and spiritual authority, not by works alone, but through the power of Christ in us (Galatians 2:20; Romans 6:4). We don't just attend church, we live pursuing that which is holy and makes us victorious. "In Him we live and move and have our being." - Acts 17:28

We embrace the necessity of receiving the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, as the power source for victorious living, worship, and evangelism (Acts 1:8l Acts 2:4). "Be filled with the Spirit." - Ephesians 5:18

We walk in God's grace and freely extend it to others. We believe in restoring the broken, reconciling relationships, and refusing bitterness (Ephesians 4:32). "Forgive as Christ forgave you." - Colossians 3:13

We believe that the presence of God produces joy unspeakable and full of glory (Psalm 16:11; 1 Peter 1:8). Even in sorrow, we are anchored in hope and rejoicing. "The joy of the Lord is your strength." Nehemiah 8:10
